Description: May 1, 1945 - Germany. On the eve of the collapse of Berlin, a group of men and women performed a certain ritual. For them, defeat in the war meant nothing. The countless lives lost in battle served as the catalyst for their sacrificial ceremony. Whether their attempt has borne fruit or not, not a single soul knows. After the war, they disappeared from sight, from memory, and eventually turned into the realm of myths.
61 years later - Japan, 2006
Ren Fujii, a young man attending a high school in the city of Suwahara, finds his friendship with old friend Shiru Yusa shattered after an incident that ended in a violent fight that resulted in Ren being hospitalized for two months.
The seasons turn into autumn and winter, the pre-dawn weeks of December come, and Christmas looms on the horizon. After losing his best friend, Ren leaves the hospital with the intention of building his new life without Shiru.
But even this plan soon collapses. Irrationality, defying common sense, begins to attack and devastate the city. The anomalies soon seek to destroy everything Ren held dear before his eyes with unstoppable brutality.
He must change, even if it means crossing the line between the ordinary and the extraordinary. His desires can hardly be called something grandiose. All he wants is to return to those ancient times. Those days filled with simple, everyday joy.
Battle with the Thirteen Orders of Longinus. The continuation of that war, full of madness, massacre and slander. What future awaits Ren at the end of his journey...?
